SALAD IDEAS
We find these salads work well with our pyes.
They are great to make at home while you reheating your pyes.
Be creative with the salads and if you find one that works, please share with us

Picture
    Broccoli Salad
  •     Broccoli florets, blanched & al dente
  •      Cubed Irish Dubliner Cheese,
  •      Dried Cranberries or Raisins,
  •      Bacon, diced & fried crispy,
  •      Sliced Almonds, for garnish,
  •      Cubed Granny Smith Apple.
    Dressing:
    Equal portions of Mayonnaise and
    Creme Fraiche (or Sour Cream)

    Grapefruit Salad
  •     Arugula and Mixed Greens
  •     Toasted Pine Nuts
  •     Grapefruit segments
  •     Fresh Parmesan Cheese, grated
    Dressing:
  •       1/4 small onion, 1 clove garlic, 
  •      2T Dijon mustard,
  •      1/3C wine vinegar, 2/3C olive oil,
  •      1/8tsp ea.  cloves, allspice, nutmeg
  •      1 C Creme Fraiche,
  •      2T raw sugar or honey
  •      1tsp Worcestershire sauce,
  •      Salt and pepper to taste.
  CHEAT:  Johnny Jamaica Mistake & Creme Fraiche (50/50)

   Heirloom Tomatoes with Basil Vinaigrette
  •    Fresh Tomatoes sliced 1/4 inch
   Dressing:
  •    Olive oil,  Balsamic vinegar,
  •    Dijon Mustard, Sea salt
  •    Sliced Shallot, Fresh Basil leaves.

  •    Fresh Greens or Baby Kale,
  •    Fuyu Persimmons peeled &
  •    cut into thin wedges,
  •    Walnuts, baked with Sugar and Salt,
  •    Shallots in Apple Cider Vinegar, 
  •    Honey & Sea Salt.
   Dressing:
  •    Apple Cider Vinegar, Honey,
  •    Extra Virgin Olive Oil,
  •    Salt &   Fresh Black Pepper
   Garnish with Fresh Gorgonzola, crumbled
